We can fight climate change while growing our everyday food. There is no need to choose one over the other.

Why Spacenus exists

We are on a mission that aligns with the urgent needs of our planet: fighting climate change and ensuring sustainable food production for us and the generations to come.

Soil, the silent hero under our feet, holds the key. Through Regenerative Agriculture, we harness the power of soil to trap and store carbon, making farming an effective tool in combating climate change. For us, regenerative farming isn't about restoring the past; it's about transforming agriculture into a regenerative force that provides not just food but also critical ecosystem services.

Our vision is simple yet powerful: increase agricultural soil carbon by 0.4% annually. This seemingly minor change can offset the 9 gigatonnes of carbon pollution we emit each year. It's a small step with a huge impact.

At Spacenus, we are committed to catalyzing this change. We empower agricultural leaders to steer their farming operations toward an eco-friendly, profitable, and sustainable future. Our belief is unwavering — farming isn't just part of the problem; it's a pivotal part of the climate solution.

Our technology

Spacenus enables enterprises to adapt to regenerative agriculture using satellite remote sensing. To effectively convert the world's 1.7 billion hectares of agricultural land, a comprehensive perspective is required. That is exactly what our satellite remote sensing capabilities provide.

There are three things in our DNA: satellite-based global remote sensing capability, machine learning competency for making sense of big data, and deep agricultural and agribusiness domain knowledge. This unique blend enables us to empower stakeholders with actionable insights for data-driven decision-making.

Our scientific approach is not just affordable and scalable; it's transformative. Powered by satellite imagery, we monitor plant and soil health daily, detecting subtle changes and offering tailored recommendations. This technology isn't just reliable; it's backed by esteemed organizations like ESA, IAPN, and K+S and rigorously tested across diverse crops, regions, and seasons.

Our team

Spacenus was founded in December 2015 by two curious minds, Riazuddin Kawsar and Lionel Born, who met in 2013 while working on a business solution for an agrochemical company and discovered their passion for transforming agriculture utilizing big tech.

We have formed a team of thinkers who share our founders' vision and a strong dedication to creating a sustainable future for agriculture and climate. The team is divided into three core units: the Agronomy team, which combines practical farming knowledge with scientific insight; the Geospatial Machine Learning team, which specializes in extracting actionable insights from satellite data; and the Business team, which is focused on understanding customer needs and providing value.

Together, we're not just a team; we're the right force united by a common purpose. We work hard and innovate to pave the way towards a more resilient agricultural and prosperous future.

At Spacenus, science isn't just a part of what we do – it's our culture. As we navigate the evolving landscape of regenerative agriculture, we understand the formidable challenges agribusiness managers face. That's why we have embedded a deep commitment to scientific inquiry into the fabric of our daily operations to empower the managers who are driving the transition to regenerative agriculture.

Our mission is to enable a genuine transition to regenerative agriculture while establishing trust with our stakeholders from the start. If you think our knowledge and technology can help your organization grow, or if you just want advice on how to overcome your business challenges, we're here to listen. We thrive on collaborating with individuals who have the desire to make a meaningful impact for a sustainable future.
